When I decided to return to college, money and time were the most important factors. After much consideration I decided to take classes at regionally accredited online college. 6 years later I have my bachelor’s in human studies and am testing the waters of the job market. I never thought that I could make it this far but I did.
My online college is fantastic. I am able to take the classes that I need to earn my liberal arts degree on my schedule, still work as a bartender during the evening to pay the bills, and am on pace to be a college graduate by 2016. It is a long road but I am able to travel at the speed that works best for me. There was no way I could have stopped everything in life to attend college on campus. I am too far from the the local college to commute. Online college is the perfect alternative for me. The professors are always available to answer the questions that I have, whether it be by email or during the virtual classes. I have even made some cool friends that live in the surrounding towns that are taking the same classes as me. I can’t imagine going to college any other way.
